Yes, check the counter or the snack aisle
Nope, no alcohol. Surdyk's is your best bet if you can't find it at local stores.
I dont recall but for sure they have a meat counter at the back of the store where you can purchase thin sliced meats that's ready for grilling or hot pot.
They are open the same time as the store
They have more than one kind of miso, some of them with other seasonings added
No they do not have bagels.
This is my mom she was love this place ! And then they have pretty much all done the Korean food you need to make lots variety to choose from
It is listed as a restaurant but I'd call it a food court inside a market. Its pretty hidden from the main entrance. Go all the way to the back and turn left. Its okay for what Minnesota can offer.1. Self service. Get your own water.2. Portions are decent for the price3. Its a small kitchen staff. Expect delays from miscommunication.4. Stews will take longer as they make it as ordered.5. Their black bean noodle & Spicy noodle soup are not their strengths.Sunday lunch can get busy and packed.
This store has all the Korean stuff you need. Love this store.
The spicy BBQ pork dish was way too watery, not enough flavour or spice. In my opinion not worth the $11. The side dishes was good but we only got 3 of them when we order 3 meals.
Best korean food in Minneapolis so far! My opinion of course, self serve Food is super flavorful with that homemade taste which is what you’re looking for I absolutely would recommend this place for anybody that is looking for Korean food they have a great little grocery store that you can also shop after so it’s win-win a must recommend I have been here many many times and I have brought at least 20 people and 100% everybody loves this place
A terrific little place tucked away at the back of this unassuming Asian grocery store oddly attached to this discount hardware store. It's a hidden gem. The only downside is the prices are more in line with "mainstream" Korean places I've been to, and not the deal you'd hope to get from such a tuck-away spot. However, food is definitely worth it. "Tofu Stew" has seafood in it and it's spicy and delicious!
Had a horrible experience at the restaurant area, the lady that took my order, got mad and made comments in korean and was grunting when I ordered food. I ordered $77 worth of food and they were complaining about it. If you dont want money then give me my money back. The store in general is good, the guy that rings everyone is super nice. So if you go to the restaurant, make sure to order just enough or else theyll grunt and talk bad bout you in korean.
The grocery part is great. For the restaurant, the food is great but the staffs are so rude, they ruined my mood so I cannot enjoying the food. This is my first time so I don’t know what to do. They glare at us when we tried to talk to them. They give us attitude and yells at us when we accidentally order the wrong thing. Horrible service! Rude staff!
Great alternative to United Noodle.
This is an awesome store with many different amazing looking food. The people was very polite and prices seem to be good. It was my first time inside and I'm definitely going to be returning.
Wonderful food options as well as service.
I’m so happy to have stumbled upon this place. They had a variety of dishes to choose from and it was quick to get my food. I had the bibimbap and it was amazing! I will definitely stop by again to try all the other dishes!
Extremely helpful, and friendly staff. This nice little grocery store also houses a small restaurant in the back of the store, and the food is ALWAYS Delicious!!!!!!!
Such great Chinese food in the back of the store in the little restaurant. Some say it’s the best in Minneapolis. Definitely recommend it!
Take outs are awesome during this time of quarantine. The portions are perfect. The store itself is amazing. I live in Woodbury and it's no problem for me to travel to get Korean food and shop for korean groceries 😊
Amazing hot Korean food deli in the back. Highly recommend the kimchi stew. Spicy!
Love this store! Has everything you ever need
Decent grocery store and restaurant.
I love coming here with ny fiancé, the staff are very friendly and they always have what I'm looking for when I want to have Korean food. Their deli is really good as well if you want some hot food.
all the good korean groceries you've been looking for are here. kitchen is super fast, an will take very good care of you. make sure to get a little something to eat there, otherwise the rest will be fine before you get out the store. be prepared to take all day waking through an finding your favorites. fun part is shopping while you wait for your food to get done. prices are spot on, an will surprise you.
It is 25 minutes drive from the cities and that possibly the only negative review i can give. Otherwise they have great food at a great price with nice staff and clean kitchen. They have around 16 options but that is good enough because portions are pretty filling. Grocery part is fine, they have a bit of everything u would possibly looking for.
Interesting place to check out, being an outsider to asian culture. Prices seemed about average compared to other Asian grocers I've been to. Large selection of various sauces & condiments, and ramen. I've heard the restaurant inside the store is very good and hope to try it soon!
I went here with my friends who also happen to be Korean. From the pictures you can see that we sampled the whole menu. I am Nigerian by origin and I was thrilled by the flavor and the spice. I'm sure I will go back by myself without my friends. Everything was amazing. My favorite dish was the spicy squid. If there are any spicy food lovers reading this, try that dish!
Great, authentic Korean deli in back full of delicious hot foods at good price. Service was met with smile. Will be back!
Large selection for a small store. Friendly staff. And the restaurant they have is 😍 tasty
Hidden in back off to the left is a little hole in the wall restaurant/food counter. No service but yummy food and apparently rather authentic as nobody else there was white. I haven't tried the whole menu as number 9 the barbequed beef is too good to get past.
I went there and ordered barbecue pork. They called my order and when I got to the counter it was wrong. I tried to tell the lady behind the counter but she wasn't having any of my nonsense. After getting yelled at by an old korean lady for a minute i just took whatever she gave me. It was delicious.
One of my absolute FAVORITE Asian stores to visit in the Twin Cities. I live in Central Minnesota and plan day trips to come here, shop, and eat! The restaurant's menu is not very extensive, but it's always jam-packed in there -- and for good reason! The food is PHENOMENAL. Make sure you come hungry and ready to shop. To be honest, even writing this review is pushing me to add Dong Yang to this weekend's plans 😋
There’s a lot of delicious snacks you can buy, their tteokbokki is my favorite to order! I recommend going here if you love Korean food and snacks
Fab large quantities and variety of kimchi, other Asian food and all you could need of kitchen utensils and items. I felt like a kid in a candy store
After we read many of the reviews we went there today with fear and trepidation for our first time! To our surprise, contrary to all the negative comments, as soon as we walked through the grocery's door they greeted us. We proceeded to the very back corner about 10 min to 11. The lady behind the counter told nicely us they will be open at 11am. We found a place to sit down and ordered right at 11. We had dumplings, bulgogi and bibimbab. They were all tasted fantastic. I'd found the lady behind the counter nice enough for an Asian place. By the time we left the place was jammed with the line extended out the door. Maybe the trick is to get there early before it gets crazy and the help gets grouchy. We'll definitely be back!!!
Specifically asked for sticky "glutinous" rice. The woman at the register vaguely pointed to a bag. I asked if it was indeed sticky rice, she said yes. After soaking and trying to steam it turned out to be Korean rice. 22 bucks wasted!
AWESOME food in the back cafe. Loved the seafood soup and bbq spicy pork. Also a huge selection of good in the grocery store. Will definitely be coming back
I love their spicy tofu stew, it comes in a cast iron bowl that keeps it all boiling for a few minutes after it arrives at your table. The grilled salted mackerel is heavenly. I also order their mandu (Korean version of gyoza / potstickers). You get the requite array of vegetable side dishes and also are wonderful. I think 18 options in all, including bulgogi and bibimbap, so it's always hard for me to choose. The restaurant is little more than several tables packed into the back of the grocery store. There is sometimes a wait at lunchtime but it's worth it.
The over the counter restaurant food is available to go. It is the freshest Korean food. Limited menu but the best in town.
This place is awesome! Fair prices, big portions and the employees are consistently very friendly.
I love the restaurant inside this Korean market. Great price and good portions! The market itself is a little over priced but it’s clean and organized.
If you do take out, don't try to put any sauces on your food; they will accuse you of stealing. Ever since I can remember, I always got extra sauces at Asian restaurants without even asking. Here, they will "slap your hand". I also watched in awe as they poured what I had put into a cup back into the bottle. So if you ever get sick there, you'll know why.
Really delicious squid stir fry. Large portions. Amazing food. Great employees :)
Excellent customer service. Just Amazing There so Kind 👍👍👍👍❤
Great kimchi. Everything you'd need even plant seeds.
Best Korean food. Hands down.
Best Korean grocery in MN. Korean restaurant inside the store is very affordable and tasty.
I had no idea what they were saying they Were saying
Hands down, my favorite asian grocery store! And the food there is also so good!
Excellent customer service. The new butcher is friendly and helpful. Great selections and there are always new items to try.
If you're craving Korean food, this is the place to go get your korean dishes. They have a variety of food selections, from seafood to tteok-bokki to noodles. Its a bit tight inside but you wont be disappointed at the selection of ingredients. The restaurant inside is first come first serve. The food is as authentic as you can get. Extremely well made food and its worth trying every dish to satisfy your Koren cravings. The restaurant is quite possibly the best Korean place around the metro area. The employees are nice and its really up to you to figure out what you like since the employees dont know what you like to eat. Solid place to satisfy your Korean hunger. Highly suggest coming here if you want Korean food.
Great food out of a kitchen tucked in the rear of a grocery store.
One of my main places to grab something to eat. good location, clean, and good service. I recommend this place!
Always friendly with lots of interesting options on the shelf.
